Our First Harry Potter Day
Justin and I live very close to our families which means we spend all our major holidays with them. This is absolutely wonderful, and we feel so blessed to get to experience these special moments with those we love.
We want to make it a priority to create traditions with just our little family. And while we are able to do that a bit with major holidays, we have actually found celebrating obscure holidays is an excellent way to build family memories. Some of these holidays include Pi Day, Mardi Gras, Dr Suess Day, Elvis’s birthday, and of course Harry Potter Day. We actually feel this is something really special and unique we are able to experience with our children.
This year we decided to celebrate Harry Potter day by enjoying some delicious foods mentioned in the books, making a drink potion, and making wands. We even added floating candles this year!
